Legal Gaming in Europe Conference
Members of the European Commission and European parliament are to meet with the Gaming Industry in the Legal Gaming in Europe conference. The conference is to be held on the 22 and 23 January.
Attendees will include Jean Bergevin from the European Commission, Christopher Fjellner MEP and Prof Dr Kurt Schelter the former Minister of Justice and European Affairs of Brandenburg. The objectives of the conference are to attept to unify legislation of gaming laws across the EU; nd to outline the key objectives of Article 49.
As the gaming markets prepare to intensify their expansion into European markets, more than 80 companies (including Betfair, Bingo.com, Gaming VC and Playtech) with an interest in the gaming industry are attending next week.
The leading figures for the European Parliament will be able to answer questions from the big operators, “Obviously having the European Commission and Parliament present represents a major opportunity for the industry to get answers to their most important questions.”
