9th July, 2009
The 2009 World Series of Poker is now drawing to an end with participants already half way through the final event. With the opening day 1s seeing players from all over the world competing together, camaraderie between players was great.
However the atmosphere at World Series of Poker changed going into the second day of the main event on Tuesday. Unlike day 1s, players were fully focused on the cards, no more joking and laughter. The excitement had an edge.
Although there was still some banter being thrown around, the mood was certainly different, with witty remarks aimed at oppoents and their hands in order to gain information to use later on.
Instead of their usual dress, some players had accuired sun glasses and even ipods to help them keep their focus.
Tomorrow the 13 day event moves on to day eight of the tournament but day three of the rounds.
Players will now be looking to elimainate the big competition and amass as many chips as possible for a seat at the final table, which will held on November 7th -10th.
