$25,000 Gambling Chip Approved

20th March, 2008

Following Caesar’s request, a new $25,000 gambling chip has been approved by the N.J. casino Control Commission.

Before this chippy, the highest one available to patrons was worth $20,000. Caesars have already thought of the design for this new chip. It will have Caesar’s signature horse and chariot design on it.

Alyce Parker, who is a spokeswoman for Harrah's Entertainment Inc., Caesar’s parent company, had this to say about the exciting news: "We're the premier place for gaming tables and that's why we're doing it."

This comes as a logical development after the casino raised the betting limit per hand to reach $50,000. The increasing number of high-stakers is what has triggered these changes and is also why the senior vice-president of the Caesar’s, Dan Nita, is confident the new chip is going to appear on one of the tables in the very near future.
