American Red Cross thanks Casinos

The American Red Cross has thanked casinos in Atlantic City for helping to boost the number of blood donations made in 2008.
Last year, the Atlantic City casinos hosted blood drives for the American Red Cross. In these blood drives, 3,772 units of blood were collected- a 7.5% increase from the year before.
Brigid O'Neill-LaGier, Chief Executive Officer of the American Red Cross Penn-Jersey Blood Services Region said, "We want to thank all Atlantic City Casinos that hosted blood drives in 2008 for their hard work and dedication."
To honour those people that gave blood three times or more in the last year, the American Red Cross and the Showboat Atlantic City Hotel and Casino are teaming up to host the 3rd Annual Atlantic City Casino Blood Donor Campaign awards reception on 25th February.
