Beginners Luck: Lady Wins at Mecca Bingo

Mecca Bingo, is arguably the largest bingo operator in the UK, and their Wandsworth venue was the scene for of a classic beginners luck tale last night, when one bingo newbie won on her first time of playing.
The lucky lady was Louise Middlemist from Richmond, who attended the Mecca Bingo in Wandsworth with a group of friends after work.
Having never played bingo at a bingo hall before, the group were given a crash course in rules and etiquette, before being shown their way to the main room.
According to a Mecca Bingo spokesperson, the group were mostly new comers, laughing and joking and enjoying their first time at bingo.
Louise’s win came towards the end of the session, netting her £500 and the congratulations of friends and on lookers.
When asked what she intends to spend the money on, She said, “ I’m not sure really, wasn’t expecting to win so much on my first go. It will probably go towards something summery, like new clothes or maybe even some last minute Michael Jackson Tickets.”
The bingo caller said, “They came in during the midsession interval and looked totally out of their depth. They had a couple of false calls but then the lady shouted and one of the checkers confirmed it. I wasn’t surprised at all, we usually find that first timers win something, it’s the classic story of beginners luck.”
