Bet365 online betting appears in Top Track 100

According to a report by eGaming Review featured this morning, Bet 365 rose the most in the Top Track 100 list of the UK’s largest private companies. Bet365 were number 16 on the list rising 16 places in comparison to last year.
Bet365 was born in the 1970’s primarily as a high street betting shop chain but in 2005 concentrated their efforts on online betting and sold may of its shops to Gala Coral. Bet 365 is based in Stoke on Trent with the Coates family owning the majority of shares at 93%.
Other betting companies, Gala Coral and Betfred also featured on the list which was created by Fast Track in conjunction with the Sunday Times publication. The list ranks companies based on their turnover levels.
Gala Coral were 22 in the list and are owned by private equity companies Candover, Cinven and Primera. Gala has smaller turnover than bet365 however they are more profitable, earning £402m in comparison to £36m earned by Bet365
Betfred ranked number 43 in the list and has plans to invest £70m during the next 5 years to promote expansion.
Other businesses McAlpine, Bestway, Pentland, Wates and chemical manufacturer Ineos were also featured on the list.
