Betfair extend their profits to social media

Social media is becoming more and more important within the online industry and Betfair have not hesitated in turning to it to help them. Betfair is the world’s largest betting exchange that has developed since starting in 2000, offering punters an innovative product that allows them to select and create their own odds. Betfair has produced around $5.5 million to help fund Watercooler so that they can develop products such as Fantasy Football.
Watercooler was set up by social networking specialists using community software. It aims to supply you with a forceful connection with the likes of friends and family and has recently become extremely popular in the work place with websites such as Linkedin.
The company have currently obtained over 26 million users making it one of the most effective resources for social media and with Betfair’s financial help, intend to continue to improve the reliable connection service that they provide. In particular, there are plans to work on social games on some of the biggest social networking sites such as Facebook.
Betfair have mostly taken an interest in their dedication to sports team news, creating communities that fans can discuss games and players, which has become extremely successful with UK football punters on Facebook. The partnership will help to develop and grow Betfair’s brand worldwide, with hope to expand the fantasy sports market.
