Betting Technology to get a 'Push'
14th July, 2009
Anyone who is farmiliar with the term 'Push' technology will know that it is used throughout many varieties of server - client platforms, such as email for blackberries & iPhone.
However, push technology is now making its way into the gambling industry, bringing with it a whole variety of benefits, and even providing an edge for potential users.
Push technology 'pushes' data through the internet to a client platform, providing instant updates as soon as they're released, or providing the latest up to date information. Bet 365 have forged a partnership with Push Technology LTD in order to integrate this technology into gambling platforms, providing betters on major sports and horse events instant odds updates and theoretically an edge over platforms which do not support the technology.
Diffusion 2.0 is the name of the platform which will support the technology Bet 365 will be using, and the immediate, real time data will definatley be something that other operators will want to also offer their players.
Push Technology is nothing new in general, but its integration into the betting market will definatley provide an edge over slower data platforms.
