Betting odds show that Alesha Dixon does not look likely to quit Strictly Come Dancing
22nd September, 2009

After a massive uproar and over 4,000 complaints to the BBC about the new judge who replaced Arlene Philips it looks as though the star is starting to buckle under the pressure and hostile reaction from the fans. There has been a lot of rumours that she is going to leave but it seems that she is sticking in her place and no one will bully her out of the judges panel. Sky Bet make her 12/1 to leave the show mid series.
Arlene has been on the show since it began six years ago and it seems that the audience took a liking to the elegant knowledgeable judge. Fans of both the judge and the show have begun petitions begging for Arlene’s return but it seems that for this year they will have to put up with Alesha Dixon. Sky Bet are however offering odds for 2010 at 3/1 that Arlene will return to the show.
Sky Bet’s betting expert said, “Alesha has received some harsh criticism after her debut last weekend but no doubt she’ll settle in soon. We’d be surprised if she were to quit as her consistent performances on the show as a contestant more than proved her determination to succeed.”
