Bingo appeals to all ages

Bingo was once seen as an unfashionable game for the elderly only. However long gone are the images of smoky, rough looking halls. Bingo has been part of British culture for over a century and is still played by millions every year.
Even though the industry has been dealt blow after blow in recent years, players still travel to their local hall every week for a few rounds of their favourite game.
Younger generations are can now be seen in bingo halls, as the game and venues become more fashionable than ever before. Several Mecca and Gala halls have reported an increase in the number of students opting for a night out at the bingo, with halls now offering much more than just the standard games.
Drink, food and additional games are all now available, making the experience more diverse and exciting, as well as broadening the appeal of playing bingo.
Student Mark Ashram said, ' We have had some great nights out at the local bingo hall in Reading. It's the perfect warm up for a night out on the town and its relatively cheap.'
Players are also looking for cheaper alternative for nights out, rather than heading to expensive clubs or restaurants. This has resulted in the visitor numbers With online bingo continuing to grow, could we be witnessing a bingo comeback?
