Bodog Comes To London!
6th November, 2009

Online gaming and sportsbook operator Bodog has hired Ed Pownall (former Everest European PR head) to head a brand new press office in London, according to reports from eGaming Review.
Ed Pownall has left Everest after two years service; he previously worked in marketing roles for Jackpotjoy, Sky Bet and Blue Square prior to its sale to the Rank Group back in 2003.
He commented, “The Bodog brand is one of the most recognised in the industry and the job offers me the chance to work for a brand which is truly global. Some gaming brands call themselves global, but I don’t think they truly are in terms of having the presence Bodog has across the world.”
Calvin Ayre, Bodog founder, commented on the choice of London as the home of the new Bodog offices, “London is the business centre of the gaming industry and so it makes sense to position our global press office there.”
Ayre announced back in August that they were looking into opening a new London based office as the company is currently in the middle of a European marketing push. This push has included a lucrative sponsorship deal with Fulham football club.
