Bookies Lengthen Odds on British and Irish Lions

The British and Irish Lions managed to keep their undefeated record on Wednesday night and go into tomorrow’s game full of confidence.
Despite this, online bookies are still backing world champions South Africa to win the test series and have lengthened odds on the Lions to win tomorrow’s game against Western Province, with Betfair changing odds from 1/100 to 1/7.
It is likely that online bookies have lengthened odds on the Lions following the announcement of the team to face Western Province tomorrow. With test places still in the balance Head Coach Ian McGeechan has opted to field a different 15 to start against Western Province.
Online bookies Bet 365, Paddy Power and Bet Internet all price the Lions at 1/10 to win tomorrow, while Ladbrokes offer 1/9 for the Lions to be victorious.
Should the Lions perform well and win convincingly tomorrow and in the last warm up game on Tuesday, it is likely bookies will shorten odds on the tourists ahead of their first test match against the Boks.
