Brawn GP makes Online Bookies shorten Odds
16th April, 2009
After weeks of waiting, a decision on the controversial diffuser on Brawn GP, Williams and Toyota cars, was finally made.
Five International Court of Appeal judges ruled yesterday that the diffusers “comply with the applicable regulations”.
The decision means championship leader Jenson Button who drives for Brawn GP will keep the points he has won, and will go into this weekend’s Chinese Grand Prix as race favourite.
Bookies have also reacted to the decision by reportedly dropping odds on the three teams. Skybet was online bookmaker that trimmed odds on Jenson Button to 5/4 from 11/8.
Skybet now give Jenson Button 8/1 odds to finish in a points position in every race, and 20/1 to finish in a podium position in every race.
Fellow championship team, Red Bull- Renault, who previously complained about the diffusers on competitors cars, has allegedly began to make changes to their diffuser too.
Other odds for this weekend’s Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai include:

Rubens Barrichello – Brawn – 5/1
Sebastian Vettel – Red Bull – 14/1
