British Grand Prix Online Betting Odds
17th June, 2009
Formula One returns to our screens this weekend, with the action descending on Northampton. The British Grand Prix starts on Friday and will see Jenson Button aiming to win his seventh championship this season on home soil.
Fellow Britain and reigning World Champion Lewis Hamilton has not had the greatest of starts this season, and has reportedly begun looking forward to the 2010 season, despite their being 10 races still to go.
Online bookies make Button strong favourite to take the checkered flag on Sunday, with Bet365, Coral and Sky Bet all pricing the Brawn GP driver at 4/6, while Ladbrokes and Paddy Power both make Sebastian Vettel 9/2 second favourite.
With the British Grand Prix due to move to Donington next year this could be the last Grand Prix at Silverstone, making Button’s will to win even greater. Fellow Driver Mark Webber said, “It’s a shame, we F1 drivers love Silverstone.”
Having finished on the podium every race so far this season Button is now 26 points clear of nearest rival team mate Rubens Barrichello. Some bookies have tipped the Brit to finish every race this season on the Podium, meaning he is also favourite to take the World Championship title.
