British Women Decide Bingo vs. Roulette

A study into the online gambling habits of women has revealed that British female players are quickly joining their American counterparts in turning their back on playing online bingo and instead hitting the online roulette tables.
For a long time roulette has been a favourite form of online gambling for American women, this hasn’t been the case in the UK as bingo has always reigned supreme. However it has been found that the long running rise of bingo in the country could be challenged with players exploring the world of online gambling through roulette.
“We all knew the bingo boom would not last forever and, although I think it is far from over, I think the cracks are starting to show,” said David Merry, Editor for roulette information portal Live Roulette.
“Roulette provides women with the chance to win serious cash very quickly, so it is easy to see why they would be attracted. The birth of live roulette on television has also prompted interest from women browsing through the channels and ensures that women feel they are part of something live and communal much like they get with bingo currently.
“Although we are relishing the increase of visitors, a lot of people do not understand that roulette is a harsher form of gambling and you can lose a lot more money a lot quicker.”
Nonetheless, despite many live roulette channels on Sky and Freeview it does seem unlikely that the popularity of bingo will be beaten by roulette amongst British women.
