Bwin bags EGR Operator of the Year 2009

Gaming Alerts were fortunate enough to be able to attend EGR live awards, the industry’s primary award ceremony rewarding achievement, innovation and excellence within the online gaming industry.
The awards were presented at Old Billingsgate, London, in front of an audience of over 900 on the first night of EGR Live.
According to an article at eGaming Review, the top trophy that all operators seek to win is the EGR Operator of the year 2009, which was won by Austrian gaming and betting giant, Bwin. Having battled against industry rivals such as Bet365, PartyGaming and Betfair, Bwin managed to land the top prizes which was presented at the awards ceremony on the first night of EGR Live.
Nic Wenn, the UK country manager accepted the award and commented saying: ‘It's great that Bwin has won this award after ten years. I think Bwin have carried on doing wht Bwin have been doing, leading the way in opening new territories in Europe and leading the technological advance in our industry.’
Bwin were chosen for the award due to the strength and scale of their reach, consistency, leadership, scale and strength of the brand.
