Casinos: A Global Strategic Business Report

A new survey has been conducted by the California-based Global Industry Analysts Inc. into the world’s gambling industry. The report, entitled "Casinos: A Global Strategic Business Report" is based on years from 2000 through to 2010.

Land based casinos, as expected, amount for the largest segment of the worldwide commercial gambling market. Casino revenues are expected to grow at a rate of 7.8% on an annual basis.

The US (including Las Vegas) and Europe account for 80% of the world’s casino action. This action is estimated to be worth over $90 billion.

Following the report into the report into the revenues and growth rates of the gambling industries worldwide the California-based Global Industry Analysts Inc. have made some educated predictions:

Casino revenues in the US alone are expected to be worth almost $70 billion by the year 2010, and the Asia-Pacific industry is expected to emerge as the fastest growing casino market.

The report has made businesses and authorities worldwide aware of the risks and opportunities involved in an expanding gambling market and has provided an insight into what’s ahead.
