Customers Bet on John Terry to move to Man City

Chelsea captain John Terry being offered a transfer by Manchester City has been a hot topic this week among punters. Now, while Stanford Bridge bosses insisted that the centre back was not for sale, punters are placing bets on him to making the move up north.

On Monday Sky Bet were offering 100/30 for the Blues skipper to move to City, however after a large number of bets being placed over the two days, Sky Bet have been forced to cut odds to 15/8.

Helen Jacob for Sky Bet said, “Earlier this week, we took a number of substantial wagers on Terry to stay at Chelsea, prompting us to cut his odds to 1/5 but today the tide has turned and we’ve seen a steady stream of bets on him to be lining up at Eastlands next season.”

As well as cutting odds on John Terry, Sky Bet have also slashed odds on Bayern Munich winger Frank Ribery joining Chelsea. With a move to Real Madrid now unlikely and Blues Chairman Bruce Buck stated that he was confident the club would make a marquee signing this summer, he is now priced at 2/1 to line up a Stanford Bridge next season.

Chelsea are 8/11 with Sky Bet to win one of the major titles in 2009/10 and 5/6 to amass more than 84 points in the domestic league.
