Doyles Room poker vying for Phelps

After winning 8 gold medals at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, Michael Phelps was posed the question: what’s next? Phelps made it clear that poker was one of his favourite hobbies and would like to dominate the poker world next.
To help give legitimacy to the rumour that Phelps will be joining Doyles Room, a popular online poker site, the Olympian met with the poker legend himself Doyle Brunson and his son Todd while he was visiting Las Vegas with a bunch of his friends from home.
“What a great feeling it must be to be 23 years old and on top of the world,” said Doyle Brunson, poker legend. “What a nice kid. He had a bunch of his friends from home with him and they were the guests of the Palms Hotel and Casino. I got a call that he was an avid poker fan and wanted to meet me, Todd, and Hoyt Corkins. Jennifer Harman and her husband Marco were also there.”
It also appears that Phelps might be getting some instruction from the Texas Dolly and it was also reported that he played online poker all the time while he was training for the Olympics. Doyle spent a great deal of time with Phelps while he was visiting at the Palms and was reportedly staying in a really nice suite there.
“Phelps and some of his friends wanted books so I took Super System 1 and 2 to them and they asked all kinds of poker question,” Doyle said. “Michael said all he wanted to do in life, was eat, swim and play poker. We went up to his suite to hang out for a while. His suite had a basketball court, swimming pool, workout room, multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. It must have been 15-20 thousand square feet, the nicest one I’ve ever seen.”
The rumours were definitely not shot down by the Doyles Room representatives either, so it could be very soon that we here of this deal being finalized. Phelps is already learning from the best and it wont be long until he has the opportunity to win poker gold as well.
“Maybe he’s the next Team Brunson celeb,” said a representative from Doyle’s Room. “One this for sure is that he loves poker and is starting his education right at the top with Doyle and his son Todd.”
