Euro 2008 Tips and Betting Update
18th June, 2008
Euro 2008 is one day away from the knockout stages, with only second place in Group D still to be decided. Online Betting Alerts’ Euro 2008 tips started well, but haven’t been helped by the likes of France and Czech Republic performing poorly. The main highlight was tipping getting Modric first, last and anytime scorer, bringing in 18/1 twice plus his anytime scorer odds for huge profits that will see us in profit for the tournament.
Pre-tournament favourites Germany are now fourth favourites at around 6/1, and may represent some value at this stage, however they will have to beat Portugal in their semi-final first. Spain are now the favourites on very similar odds with Netherlands and Italy. The Netherlands may be the team to back at this stage, as they will face either Sweden or Russia, arguably two of the easier sides left in the competition. Their odds will slim up considerably afterwards allowing a lay to bank some profits. Similarly, Croatia at 8/1 are tempting to go all the way, with Turkey to face in their quarter-final.
Our tipster recommends the following bets:
Friday June 20th
- Back Croatia HT Croatia FT v Turkey
- Back Croatia to win the competition
Sunday June 22nd
- Spain and Italy to draw
- Both teams to win on penalties
