Euro Millions won by UK resident
15th June, 2009
Anticipation and excitement over the Euro Millions reaching another record breaking amount was crushed this weekend when the triple rollover, £50 million jackpot was won.
The two lucky winners shared the jackpot walking away with £24.9 million each. One of the lucky winners is reportedly a UK resident, although the person’s identity has not been revealed.
Unlike the buying frenzy that occurred in May when the Euro millions jackpot reached £110 million, Friday’s jackpot did not see a huge increase in player numbers. Despite this the National Lottery website was allegedly temporary unavailable due to a ‘high volume of customers’.
This week’s Euro Millions jackpot starts again and is an estimated £12 million. People wishing to buy a ticket can do so at National Lottery.co.uk. Tickets cost £1.50 and players can by as many tickets as they like. Just pick 5 numbers between 1-50 and 2 lucky star numbers between 1-9.
