Football star denies rape

Jonny Evans was arrested following a complaint made by a 26 year old woman following the clubs Christmas Party at the Great John Street Hotel on Monday night.
The event was described by witnesses as a debaucherous affiar, with drinking, lap dancing, gambling all taking place in the intimate setting.
Mr Evans who is 19 years old voluntarily offered himself for questioning following the report of sexual assault. He has been bailed to appear before a magistrate at a later date.
There has been no comment from the football club.
