Gala Coral staff face Job cuts

Gala Coral are one of the world’s biggest gambling brands, with hundreds of high street gaming venues and bookies, as well as a network of internet gaming sites. However the recent recession and increase in taxes on bingo halls have damaged the companies finances.
The marketing department has had over 45 staff made redundant at their Nottingham headquarters. The brand is currently struggling to fight its way out of a huge debt and has seen several of its land based bingo halls close in recent years.
The smoking ban, increased government taxation and rise in online bingo have all severely damaged Gala Bingo.
Their online site continues to be popular with internet based players, and currently Gala Bingo.com gives away over £80 million every month. New players also receive a free £10 when they sign up and deposit £5.
Gala Coral also own and operate a sports betting, poker and casino site, covering all aspects of online gambling.
