Gambling Addict Steals from Friends

A man, who claims to having a gambling addiction has been charged with theft. He allegedly stole checks from the local couple and cashed them for thousands of dollars.
Allaoui El-Mostafa, 38, is now charged with theft and forgery.
The court documents state that the police said the man asked his 2 friends to lend him some cash for a trip to a Connecticut casino. They refused to give him money, after which he stole checks and made them out to himself for nearly $3,500.
