Gambling Authorties investigate Sports Betting

Gambling on sport is something we have all either done or thought about doing. As a money maker betting on sport could either move you out of you house into a rented room, or it could give you extra beer money. This purely outlines the unpredictability of sport, even the favourite’s fall at the last hurdle sometimes.
However as a business betting on sport no longer becomes a game of chance and probabilities, it becomes a calculated risk, where the risk of losing is very minor. However as I said there are no certainties in the outcomes of a game, race or match. No certainties that is, if the event is not fixed in any way.
This is not always the case as the Daily Express reported on the 4th January. As top sports across the country come under investigation after allegations by bookmakers of Asian and Eastern European gangs performing scams.
Gambling authorities have now launched investigations into more than 25 events, including Premier League football games, Horse races and even snooker is reported to be high on the list.
The gambling commission are also reportedly investigating 5 football league clashes.
