Gambling Raid nets more arrests

The raid targeted an illegal sportsbetting operation which was run out of a poker room in the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa.
4 of the arrested people were reported to be associated with the mob. The charges included promoting gambling and money laundering. Staff of the hotel were among those arrested; they included a bar tender and casino employees.
There have been a number of raids in recent weeks by police all over the USA. They come at a time where gambling is on the minds od law makers and law breakers; where countries such as Costa Rica and Antigua are seekign compensation from the USA for losses in revenue from online gaming restrictions.
