Gambling addict gets jailed for 8 months
22nd February, 2008
Kevin White, 57, of Becontree Avenue, Dagenham, Essex, has a very serious gambling problem which forced him to steal lorryloads from the old railway to fund his betting habit, which is why he is now jailed for eight months.
White used to work for London Underground maintenance contractor Metronet, which is how he had access to scrap metal that he used to drive off from many different sites around London city.
He managed to “earn” £20,000 selling the metal for the recycling, but instead of spending the fortune on his 5 kids, he wasted all till the last penny gambling.
