Gambling on the iPhone

As mobile technology continues to become more and more sophisticated, it’s no surprise that the next destination for gambling software is not to more powerful computers, but on the consumer’s mobile device.

With the recent release of the iPhone 3G S, the potential power provides the opportunity for companies such as European gaming software developer CXTM to take existing computer based gambling games, and rework them for mobile devices, in this case, the iPhone.

CXTM have reworked two of their existing casual slot games ‘Freaky Fruits’ and ‘Totem Quest’ to be playable on the iPhone and consider the iPhone an integral part of their development industry and plan to release more versions of the software in the future.

The communication accessibility of the iPhone means it is possible for players to share high scores with friends over popular social networking sites. CXTM have confirmed that they intend to release a full version of ‘Totem Quest’ puzzle game, and also to release a safari version of the ‘Freaky Fruits’ slots game in the future, perhaps this is the start of fully enabled mobile gambling.
