Gaming Alerts Exclusive Interview with Ladbrokes Casino

11th September, 2009

With Ladbrokes recently becoming partners with Gaming Alerts throughout September and October, we carried out an exclusive interview with Charlie Goodenough, Head of Casino Marketing at Ladbrokes Online Casino to guage his views on the current Casino Climate.

What are your views upon the Egaming Bank ‘IvoBank’s demise and does this affect Ladbrokes Casino at all?

  • Im unaware of the full situation with IvoBank, so am not really in a position to comment on this. However it's not one of our payment solution so we are not directly impacted

We all know Summer is quiet for the online gaming industry, what exciting promotions do you guys have running at the moment?

  • Despite the down trend we see within the sector we dont see it as any reason to curb our promotional activity. Just because people do spend a bit more time outside or take a trip away for a couple of weeks doesnt mean that we should stop offering them the breadth of promotions and offers we always do. People still play online casino during the fairer months and we don't believe they should be penalised for it! We've gone slots crazy for September, as things start to heat up with the Grand Slam of Slots final where you can win €1m drawing ever closer. Also keep an eye out for our 'Slotastic Sundays', Mega Moolah Isis and Wealth Spa offers to name but a few. Plus there are chances to win your seat into the Grand Slam of Slots final in our monthly prize draw or through our massive $10k slot tournament freeroll that starts later in the month. But don't worry table game players, keep an eye out for our Roulette and Blackjack match bonus weekenders starting mid way through the month! Thats not all either, so check out our other great promotions here

We recently ran a successful social media campaign with you guys on Twitter, do you see Social Media as an important component to the success of modern day online gaming operators?

  • Social media is a way of engaging with prospective and actual customers in 'their' environment. Providing we don't breach the rules of engagement and gain the trust and respect of people in these realms then, social media has real potential. Whilst it is a useful channel to communicate with our customers in a traditional way, its real value in my opinion comes through allowing deeper brand engagement and providing a platform for our customers to express themselves upon. A real opportunity for us to act upon.

Being a partner with Gaming Alerts throughout September and October, what is it about Ladbrokes Online Casino that keeps players coming back for more, and why should new players choose you?

  • We pride ourselves in offering a breadth of promotions to cater for all tastes at Ladbrokescasino.com, and offer arguably the most competitive turnover requirements on bonus chips in the online casino business. We work with Microgaming, who are our current casino content provider and they provide a very high quality of product especially in the slots area. Coupling great value with good product is exactly why our customers come back time after time. In terms of new players, its a case of all of the above and again we offer one of the fairest, deposit-led welcome bonuses on the market in terms of our turnover requirement to release the bonus.

Finally, are there any cools plans in the pipeline for Ladbokes Casino?

  • We've got a few things up our sleeve! We're looking to launch 'Premier Blackjack' in October which is a really really good product with a number of Blackjack variants (including Hi Lo, Streak, Multihand and Bonus variant) plus a new live casino offering later this month covering roulette, blackjack and baccarat. We do of course have the €1m Grand Slam final at the end of October and we're just firming up the details of some really fun PR activity to run in December. Once we've signed and sealed the deal on this we'll let you know!

P.s. we're going to be offering new customers a great new welcome bonus from October so watch this space
