Gaming Industry Help Haiti

The online gambling industry at times has been accused of having a lack of soul due to its dealing with cold hard facts figures and money. However there is another side to the industry which becomes clear when people call for help in their hour of need. With quick action the online gambling industry has shown compassion for the Haiti disaster and has raised a lot of money for the cause.

For example, Bodog Calvin Ayre has been encouraging everyone in the industry to donate as much as they can afford to the campaign and has announced he will match the donations made to Oxfam from affiliates in the industry up to $1million.

Party Poker, full tilt poker and poker stars have all organised charity tournaments to raise money for those affected by the earthquake. Tournament fees and registration fees at party poker will all be donated to the DEC to help the effort. Additionally, Doylesroom has donated tournament fees from their 20th January event and have matched the bounty money generated in the $50,000 guaranteed tournament.

These are just a few in the gambling sector that have been helping out the effort, with players being particularly generous by donating proportions of their winnings as the need for food, water and shelter increases.

Several hundred thousand dollars have already been donated let's help make that number grow. You can do this by playing at big heart bingo and choosing to play for the Haiti disaster, this is the only not for profit charity bingo site which not only is fun for you, but fantastic at raising money for those that need it most.
