Gaming Media Group Looks Forward to 2009

Gaming Media Group today revealed its results for year ended 31st October 2008. The Group achieved increased growth of 47% in poker rake, and 57% in revenues across the group. Profit before Tax has also grown by four times to £1 million.

The Group said it is adding around 10,000 registrations from across Europe per month to its poker business, PokerHeaven.com, with a conversion rate averaging 30% in its top 10 territories giving the Group revenues in excess of €1 million per month.

Crispin Nieboer, CEO for Gaming Media Group said “Our pan-European and localised approach, together with significant advances in our CRM infrastructure, has been key to the extensive growth in 2008.”

Gaming media Group launches its new casino ‘CasinoJoy’ in the middle of January, with over 200 of its games provided by CryptoLogic. Falling under the Group-wide affiliate brand, HeavenAffiliates.com, ‘CasinoJoy.com’ will be launched at CAP London on 29th January.

According to the group January will also see PokerHeaven.com launch “The Player Tracker”, its third consecutive game-management tool. The Player Tracker, unavailable on any other International Poker Network (IPN) site, will allow players to be able to replay every hand in real time.

Crispin Nieboer, also stated, “We forecast strong organic growth in 2009, not just from poker, but from our new casino and bingo products as well. We are also investigating more acquisition and joint-venture opportunities, where we can utilise our infrastructure to absorb similar businesses, and apply our lower CPA, higher conversion and player lifetime values.”

2009 plans for the Poker Channel, the group’s TV business are to add Poland and Portugal to its distribution network in the first calendar quarter of 2009. The Poker Channel Premieres the European Cash Game this month, and will feature World Series of Poker Main Event winner of 2008 Peter Eastgate. Plans for the Poker Channel include the start of broadcasting French, German and Dutch language versions of its shows.
