Indecisive America

22nd November, 2007

Peter Mandelson, European trade chief in US government, decided to try and make his colleagues see sense at last. He called on the America to let European businesses back into the US online gambling industry, as he considers it to be a much wiser and fairer decision than compensation.

Since Washington stated their decision to barricade the entry into the US market by any European gambling company, the businesses that get closed off suffered enormous revenue losses.

This is what Mandelson said to European Parlament about the issue:"The US has so far opted for compensation to make right what is wrong. I do not think that compensation does that job. What we really need is for the legislation to be put right and for foreign operators to stop being excluded and discriminated against in this way."
