Ivobank launches new bank for online gaming
29th July, 2008
It has now been announced that Ivobank will launch an independent bank for the use of online payments and money transfers. This should come as good news to online gamers because that’s who will be using this new service the most.
Ivobank is one of the first online banks to launch in the seven years, since the internet boom, and is the first to be regulated and authorised by the Financial Services Authority
“The online gaming industry has developed rapidly in recent years, but the financial services supporting it have not kept pace,” said Timothy Sawyer, managing director of Ivobank. “Many online businesses and customers have been ill-served to date, resulting in relatively high costs and relatively low levels of service. Ivobank aims to plug the gap by offering instant and highly secure online payment services, combined with competitive interest rates.”
Ivobank is under the direction of the Sampoerra family and expects to have a successful future in the online-banking industry – planning to have one million customers using their service in five years time.
Although the bank was created primarily with online gamers in mind, it’s actually open to anyone who wants to make transactions online.
“Ivobank is perfect for anyone who wants to shop online, but doesn’t want to use a credit card,” Sawyer said.
The bank offers a virtual debit card that customers can use to make purchases anywhere MasterCard is accepted online. The card service is called The Ivobank Virtual Card.
Opening an account with Ivobank is free and there is no minimum deposit. If you want to apply today go to www.ivobank.com.
