John Terry Committed To The Blues
28th July, 2009

Chelsea and England captain, John Terry, has quashed rumours that he is to join the Manchester City revolution by committing himself to the Blues.
The centre back has constantly been linked with a move to City ever since they were taken over by the Abu Dhabi United Group. Terry has always refused to comment about his future, which has lead to speculation that he was going to switch from West London to the outfit from Eastlands.
Chelsea’s new Italian manager, Carlo Ancelotti, always said that he had no desire what so ever to sell. On Chelsea’s official website the player was quoted as saying, “I am totally committed to Chelsea and always have been. Chelsea have also made it clear to me consistently that there was never any intention to accept any kind of offer”.
The Manchester City manager, Mark Hughes, was reported to be preparing a £40m bid. Since the close season begun in May, Hughes has splashed the cash and totally transformed his team. The services of top class players including Carlos Tevez, Emmanuel Adebayor, Gareth Barry and Roque Santa Cruz had previously been acquired for a combined £80m.
Over the years Terry has been of paramount importance to Chelsea; the news will be a massive boost for them as they formulate their plans for capturing both domestic and European honours.
Odds from Bet365 see Chelsea at 9/4 to win the Premier League.
