Khan vs Kotelnik Online Betting Preview
13th July, 2009
This weekend sees British boxer Amir Khan, aim to beat WBA Light Welterweight champion Andreas Kotelnik. Delayed by 3 weeks the fight was intended for June 27th however a tooth infection meant it was postponed.
Tipped to be one of the best fighters in the world in the future, Amir Khan goes into Saturday night’s bout as favourite to take the title.
Online bookies price the Bolton fighter at ½ while WBA Light Welterweight champion, Kotelnik, is 13/8.
Despite going into the fight as underdog Kotelnik boast a good fighting record with 31 victories one draw and only two losses. Amir Khan however, has only 20 wins and one loss, and is clearly less experienced.
Scott Springgay, Sky Bet's boxing compiler, said: “Kotelnik has never been stopped inside the distance so we hope he can maintain this record against Khan, as we have a five-figure liability already on Khan winning in round 1-12 and this will only increase in the run-up to the fight.”
The winner of this fight will then move onto fight number one contender and undefeated Ukrainian fighter Dmitry Salita.
Ladbrokes, BetFred, Coral and Blue Square all make Khan ½ favourite while Paddy Power and Bet Internet price him at 4/9.
Both Totesport and Coral price Kotelnik at 6/4 while SkyBet, Ladbrokes and Paddy Power price him at 7/4.
