Ladbrokes announces impressive pre-tax profits

Ladbrokes announced a significant rise of 84% in pre- tax profits for the four month period ending October 2007. This was according to Christopher Bell, chief Executive of Ladbrokes better than both what they and the market had expected.
Ladbrokes provides a whole raning of gambling services to punters including online bingo, casino, poker, sportsbetting and games online, and in addition to that has numerous shops on the high street and telebetting service. Ladbrokes attribute most of this rise to the phone betting side of the business and figures to date show an indication that this 'high roller telephone betting' seems to continue in early November too. Total gross win in the fourth month period to end of Oct rose by a third, whilst UK retail gross win fell behind with a rise of 4%
