Ladbrokes to advertise in Scandinavia
20th March, 2009
Ladbrokes is one of the UK's leading gaming brands with products in the casino, betting, bingo and poker sectors. Scandinavia has a huge betting market with millions taking part in casino games or wagering money on betting events.
Ladbrokes are planning advertising in the region, with the hope of attracting more players to their network of sites. Currently several state run gaming brands operate in the region, however Ladbrokes believe there's room for a private commercial company which offer more competitive games, promotions and odds.
TV commercials will be aired in Norway, Sweden and Finland initially being shown on UK satellite channels.
Ed Andrewes, Ladbrokes managing director of eGaming, said in a statement, “The Nordic region is an important one for Ladbrokes and we believe this strong, hard hitting creative communicates the benefits of betting with Ladbrokes as opposed to the state monopoly and other betting operators.”
Ladbrokes recently had their advertisements banned by the ASA, after it received one complaint by a member of public.
