Las Vegas is known as the Gambling capital of the world, offering players super sized casinos, lavish hotels and luxury facilities. It's been a hot spot for tourists for half a century and still boasts several of the worlds best casinos.
In spite of this the recent economic recession has hit the city hard with visitor numbers down and revenues falling. Huge gaming firms such as MGM have recently announced their disappointing results.
But how are online gambling businesses coping? Well many are reporting continued growth in player numbers and profits, as the move from gambling in land based casinos moves towards playing on the internet.
Pro Family leaders claim that as markets are unstable people are investing their money hoping for a larger return. Online gaming sites are seen by many as a cheaper alternative to playing at a real life casino and they can be accessed from home
