Mecca continues to back bingo!

Mecca bingo, along with many other bingo operators, is asking the UK to unite and continue to back bingo!
Over 40,000 people have already voiced their support for the campaign which is against the tax increase which was introduced in the last budget. Even though the Government refuses to lower bingo tax the fight goes on!
Bingo halls have been described as being as British as Fish and Chips and its very existence is currently threatened by the 7% tax increase, as many bingo halls has or are planning to close.
Other members of the gambling sector currently only pay 15% so justifiably the bingo industry is up in arms about the issue.
MP Stuart Hosie expressed his disappointment at the Government’s decision to keep the tax rate at 22% despite tireless campaigning and said, "Labour has hung the bingo industry out to dry. This amendment was a chance to do the right thing by the bingo industry and they have failed"
