Microgaming Sign Lord of The Rings Deal

Microgaming has announced that it’s signed a multiyear licensing agreement with Warner Brother’s digital distribution. Together they will create cutting edge, graphic rich video slots based on The Lord of The Rings Trilogy.
The agreement grants permission for microgaming to create slot games using animation material, themes and characters from all three of the box office smash motion pictures.
Microgaming’s commitment to license the right brands, at the right time is clear to see with this particular deal. It is a strategic and timely decision to secure exclusive, online video slot game rights. The trilogy generated $3billion in worldwide box office revenue and was nominated for a total of 30 Academy Awards; of which they won 17, including Best Picture.

This deal comes in quickly after the announcement of the development of Hellboy which promises to be very successful in the world of branded online video slots.
