Online Betting - Premiership Relegation Favourites
8th May, 2009
This seasons Premier League has been full of extraordinary results, thrills, spills (Gomez) and excitement. The next three games are make or break for many clubs, some fighting relegation, other looking for a place in Europe.
The title is likely to be won by United who face arch rivals City on Sunday. Chasers Chelsea take on Arsenal in a Champions League losers fixture, and second placed Liverpool take on West Ham on Saturday.
The real drama will take place at the bottom of the table, with Sunderland, Hull, Newcastle and Middlesbrough all fighting to stay in the league.
Sunderland travel to the Reebok to play Bolton, Hull play Stoke and Newcastle play Middlesbrough in the biggest game of the weekend. Bookies have been taking bets on the favourites for relegation since the beginning and few would have predicted Newcastle and Middlesbrough would be heavily involved.
Here's a look at some of the relegation odds:
West Brom - Almost certain to be heading down a league priced at 100/1 with Bet 365. Middlesbrough - Will need a miracle to escape the drop priced at 1/5 with Coral. Newcastle - Need all three points on Saturday against Middlesbrough 1/2. Hull - Will need to pick up at least a point against Stoke 11/8 Ladbrokes.
