Online Bingo is a Growth Sector

Hailed as the fastest growing sector of the online gaming industry, online bingo is a has become a house hold favourite with millions flocking to sites, according to a new report released “Bingo in the Digital Age”.
The report released by Screen Digest, focuses on the increasing growth, and potential of the online bingo market. According to the report, despite the economic downturn, online bingo is continuing to thrive, with increased demand for in-house entertainment being the biggest contributor.
The UK has seen a large fall in revenues for traditional bingo halls with many closing, a bleak contrast when compared with online sites which generated more than £220 million in revenue.
The report also suggested that media and retail brands would soon be aiming to capitalize on the revenue opportunities by entering the online bingo sector themselves.
Rachael Church-Sanders, who wrote the report, said “The online bingo sector has been enjoying a period of rapid growth in the UK and other key markets, and we expect to see this trend continuing, particularly outside the mature UK market.”
