Online Bookies make Vettel favourite to win German Grand prix
9th July, 2009
The World Grand Prix Championships returns to our televisions this weekend after a two week break, with the championships moving onto Nurburgring for the German Grand Prix. Championship leader Jenson Button will hope he can return to previous form and reclaim his position at the top of the podium
Having not finished lower than 3rd in the Championship before the British Grand Prix, Formula one fans expected the Brawn GP driver to claim his fifth consecutive win and seventh of the season. However it wasn’t meant to be. Button’s Brawn car supposedly failed to get enough heat in the tyres and so left him starting in 6th place on the grid.
With conditions in the German Grand Prix excepted to be cloudy and wet, some fans are worried Button may have a repeat performance.
Bookmakers also seem to think British Grand Prix winner Sebastian Vettel, will have a good drive, with most making the German favourite to win on home soil.
Blue Square, Ladbrokes and Coral all price the Red Bull driver at 5/4 while Bet 365 price hime at 11/10.
For the first time this season Button is second favourite priced at 2/1 with Bet 365 and Blue Square.
