Online Casino Ladbrokes fears payout after excessive betting on Lily Allen

The Singer’s second album ‘It’s Not Me, It’s You’ was backed at 50/1 outsider to win the Mercury Music Award but after punters bet thousands of pounds on it online bookies Ladbrokes has been forced to shorten it to 5/1.
As you can imagine this sudden increase of betting from punters has lead to Ladbrokes concerns growing that Lily Allen will scoop the prize and Ladbrokes will have to pay out at the original odds.
A spokesperson from Ladbrokes admitted, “We were stunned by the rush of bets which has snowballed this week”. In addition he added, “We are staring down the barrel of a huge payout which could cost the industry thousands”.
Due to this betting scare, suspected to be made from within the music industry, Ladbrokes have suggested that they may have to stop these sorts of novelty bets prevent this happening again and them paying out excessive amounts.
