Online Gaming Group announces Rise in Revenue

The online gaming operator, Gaming VC, announced a rise of 17.5% in its gaming revenue for 2008.

The company claims this growth in net revenue is party down to its focus on diversification, away from its core German brands. Gaming VC’s current portfolio includes brands such as Poker Kings, Casino Club and 777 SlotsClub.com.

According to the announcement Gaming VC’s net gaming revenue rose to €50.1 million, while its pre-tax profits rose by 2% to €16.9 million.

Gaming VC said that its BetaLand sportsbook, along with the launch of Italian sports book Betpro in April 2008, had contributed to 31% of the overall revenue this year, which was up 21% from 2007.

Kenny Alexander , Gaming VC’s chief executive said: “In the first three months of 2009 trading has been slightly ahead of our expectations across all divisions of the Group, and I am cautiously optimistic that 2009 will be a successful year."

Gaming VC also signed a new contract with Boss Media last month, which has seen the company offer its German customers Boss’ games. This has re-enforced relationships with its suppliers including Evolution Gaming, Net Entertainment, and Game Account.
