Online Poker Robot Never Loses

Said to generate £3billion a year worldwide, online poker has become an extremely lucrative business over the last decade. Indeed, £3million is wagered on online poker everyday in the UK making it the 5th largest gambling country in the world.

However, according to the latest reports, it seems that online poker will soon be taken over by robots.

The Poker Robot or “Bots” as they are known are sophisticated software systems that take the position of an online player. The bots calculate probability, analyse an opponent’s previous decisions and then makes a decision on whether to call, raise or fold during each hand.

Because the bots make decisions based on statistics that are available to all players, they are not seen as illegal and are available for all online players to use.

Unfortunately, this means that online poker players that don’t have this software are at a huge disadvantage and could enter a competition and find themselves on a table against computers.
