Online betting Odds for Murray to win Wimbledon
3rd July, 2009

All of Britain will be listening, reading and watching SW19 today when world number 3 and British number one Andy Murray steps onto centre court.
Second on centre court Murray will play former world number one and two time Wimbledon finalist Andy Roddick. The American is known for his record breaking serve and fierce forehand, but Murray will be happy in the knowledge he has won 6 of their 8 previous matches.
Online bookies make the Scot a strong favourite to win today too, with Blue Square pricing him at 1/3 while Stan James price Andy Roddick at 11/4.
In the other Men’s singles semi final, top seed Roger Federer takes on German born Tommy Hass. Bookies make the Swiss 1/11 favourite while Hass is priced at 11/1 by Betfair.
If things go to script in the battle of the Andy’s, Murray will be the first British male to reach a Wimbledon Final since 1938, however bookies believe this will be as far a the Scotsman will go, making five time Wimbledon champion Federer favourite to win his sixth title at the All English Tennis Club.
Ladbrokes price Federer at 4/11 favourite while Bet 365, Coral and Sky Bet, make him 2/5. Murray is unfortunately 5/2 with Ladbrokes and Paddy Power to right history and be the first British champion in over 70 years.
My Tip:
Murray to win in five sets against Roddick, with Federer winning against Hass in straight sets.
