PartyGaming Signs B2B Deal With PMU

According to an article from eGaming Review, Party Gaming has signed a new B2B deal with Pari Muteuel Urbain (PMU) who is one of the largest horse racing monopolies in Europe. PartyGaming with provide PMU with an online poker product before the French online gaming market is regulated in the summer.

PMU’s poker offering will launch once they have secured the required licenses, with player liquidity pooled from PartyGaming’s French poker network.

This is the second B2B deal from PartyGaming this year after their deal with Danish state lottery Danske Spil providing them with poker and casino when the Danish market opens to private operators in 2011.

PartyGaming chief executive Jim Ryan said: “Today's agreement with PMU is consistent with our stated strategy of securing a small number of high-value partners in regulated markets.”

The deals clearly reflect Jim Ryan’s strategic vision that B2B deals are vital to protect the company against protectionist regulations in new markets. The PMU were announced to be 14th place in the Power 50 in 2009 and had a gross profit of €2.2bn, turning over €9.3bn in 2009, €660m was generated by online betting alone at PMU.fr

PMU’s deal with PartyGaming is their second deal with high profile egaming operators after they made an agreement with Paddy Power to provide fixed odds risk management and pricing tools.
