ALT Text Goes Here The PartyPoker.com Poker Den: The Big Game III was filmed last week, which saw a number of big names in the poker world come together for a marathon cash game where large sums of money exchanged hands.

Some were winners and others were losers when the action played out at 2pm on the 30th of September and ran for longer than 30 hours a day. The play finally came to a close at 9pm on the 1st of October.

“The Poker Den just keeps getting better and better,” said Eddie Hearn, head of online gaming at Matchroom Sport. “If you thought season one and two were entertaining you ain’t seen nothing yet! Whilst the old guard stood firm at the poker den, new stars were born.”

The action attracted such players as David Williams, Phil Laak and Jennifer Tilly. Williams, who finished second in the 2004 for $3.5 million, went home with a lighter wallet as he ended up losing about $40,000 in the game. Laak was on the other end of it walking away up about $22,325 along with Tilly who made about $12,550.

“We gave an exclusive opportunity for one VIP to play in the poker den through a rake race on the site and the winner certainly didn’t disappoint,” said a PartyPoker.com spokesperson. “Bodo Sbrzesny is certainly one to look out for in the future.”

The cash game was $10,000 minimum buy in with blinds starting at $25/$50, which made for some pretty big action, especially in the special Paty Pot. The Party Pot happened once every hour and added an extra $1,000 to the pot before any betting took place.
