Poker in the park: back to London Poker in the Park will be running in London again this year, after having successful results last year, and will be held at Leicester Square Park in August.

Poker enthusiasts will have the opportunity during the two-day event to participate in freeroll tournaments being administered every hour as well as a chance to hear from poker professionals who will be giving lectures throughout the event.

“Last year was the start of something special, with Poker in the Park demonstrating that London is one of the premiere cities in the world for poker,” said Michael Caselli, Bluff Europe’s editor in cheif. “This year’s event will show why poker has become the global phenomenon it is today, and we’re looking forward to two days of poker madness.”

Poker in the Park is expected to attract 25,000 poker players to the event, where poker books and other merchandise will be sold because the best way to improve a poker player’s game is by studying as much as possible.

“London’s Leicester Square is one of the most famous attractions in the world and we are excited about sponsoring such a unique poker festival in this location,” said Simon Prodger, marketing director of PKR. “This year’s Poker in the Park is going to be even bigger and better than last year’s and, because it’s free to participate, it creates an interesting experience for all kinds of people passing through the heart of the city.”

The event is being co-sponsored by PKR, which will be hosting the hourly tournaments that poker players can enter for free, but seats are limited and they work on a first-come-first-served basis.
